Chamundi Hill Mysore

Dedicated to goddess Chamundi is the Sri Chamundeshwari Temple located on top of the Chamundi Hill. It stands at more than 1,000m, and the temple has 40m-high gopuram. There are 1,000 steps that take you till the top; flocks of pilgrims walk up the hill to pray at this famous temple. Before you reach half-way up the hill, you’ll find a black monolith Nandi bull, which is the vehicle of the goddess. There are buses from Mysore city that will take you till the base of the hill. You can also hire taxis.
