Kukke Subramanya Mangalore

It approximately 80km from Mangalore, off the Mangalore-Bangalore Highway. As the name goes, Subramanya, or Kartikeya, is the presiding deity of this temple town. It is most famous for shrines dedicated to Subramanya and Samputa Narasimha, and the Somnatheshwara Temple. The 5,000-foot Kumaraparvatha is close by, and people often trek up this mighty hill in the Western Ghats.
