Kumta Beach Karnataka

This pretty coastal town is only 50km south of Gokarna. It is well-known for its sandalwood artifacts made by the Gudigar craftsmen. The two temples of Mahalsa and Shanteri Kamakshi are famous. The main market will sell local produce and handicrafts. The beach, two km away, is a great spot to watch the sunset. From Kumta, you can travel to Yana, known for its cultural and religious festivals and visit its cave temple as well.
