Mangaladevi Temple Mangalore

It stands at Bolar, three km from the town. It is believed that the city gets its name from this temple. A princess from Kerala is said to have lived and died here. Built by the Ballal family, it has three silver doors that lead to the sanctum sanctorum. The main festival celebrated here is the Dussehra.
