Trekking Karnataka Tourism

Kudremukh is the second highest peak in the Western Ghats. It gets its name from the Kannada words meaning horse face as it resembles the face of a horse. There are various tour packages and trekking tours for the enthusiasts. Thick evergreen forests cover this hill. It takes about good eight or nine hours to trek up to the top, but it’s worth it. Tadiyendamol, the tallest peak in Kodagu, is a great place for beginners as well as experienced trekkers. Kodagu is a hilly area and there are many such spots.

 

The Kodachadri Range in Shimoga district, Mullayangiri of the Baba Budan Range, Kumaraparvath in Dakshina Kannada, Brahmagiri hills, Jenukallubetta near Sakleshpur, Nandi Hills and Male Mahadeshwar Hills are all great spots for trekking. Along the hills in the Western Ghats, more than 200 marked trekking trails are there.
